Here's the draft of a poster I'm working on for a cancer benefit auction put on by IU Photography Society. We really want a lot of people at this event, so I tried to create a simple poster that I think people would stop to read. It's not quite finished yet but I hope it's getting there.

I surpassed 3000 views on RedBubble today! It seems not too long ago that I had reached 2500, hopefully the increased views are a good sign. Watch out art world, Danielle Kay is movin' on up.
While taking my "photo a day" for today, I discovered that the overhead lighting in my kitchen is actually pretty great for what seems to be a crappy fluorescent light. I am definitely planning on taking more photos next to the stove! And sadly, I exceeded my upload limit for the month on Flickr, so I won't be able to put up any photos for the next few days, but here is the photo for today:

New lighting!
The studio lighting that I bought on eBay finally arrived! So far...I am in love with it. It is so different shooting with "real" lighting, as opposed to whatever spare lamps I could find around the house. I have experimented with it for the past couple days, and I'm getting better at lighting but I still have a long way to go! Here are the first three shots I did using the new lighting.

Earlier today I started a new series I've been planning called The Clone Series. The first one may represent an internal struggle...or it's just amusing. Look forward to more clones!

Day two of Photo a Day! I took pictures on our frozen pond where we play ice hockey. This is the photo that made it to Flickr. There was another of the same subject that I liked as well, but the fact that I love lens flare made the above photo the winner. The one below was the runner-up.
